maple lane products | tap that…

i spent some time with dean wilber on his farm, maple lane syrup products, for a story on tapping trees that he planted 30 years ago.  i love the detail photo of his old levi’s pocket as his business card holder in the sugar shack…  every time i photograph a farm, it makes me wish i could be a farm-only freelance photographer.  from sheep to trees, i’m in trigger happy heaven.  :)

    Hi Katie,
Dean and I love these photos! You do such a great job of capturing the feel of sugaring. Thanks so very much. We were so impressed with the photos on the Monitor Web site that we purchased all of them. Were you able to get a rental for September?

P.S. The sign on the end of the sugarhouse “Maple Lane Products” was out of date. We had neglected to change it. Anyway, FYI we’re now Mapletree Farm LLC.

My goodness. I just stumbled upon your blog here, and I am absolutely adoring these images. (Is it bad that they make me want pancakes with some maple syrup?) Beautiful… and they make me want to be a farm-only freelance photog, too.
