really nice work Katie. i’ve seen a lot of mayflies in my life, but never like this. how did you light these? single strobe?

Hey Jimmy… thanks for the comment! I actually didn’t light this at all. I used a street light behind him (her?) with a high ISO. The mayfly was balancing on a wire that was attached to a huge set of construction lights, so I’m sure it was getting light from above too. I knew it was wild looking when I saw it through my viewfinder!
